Organization: DeepClass (deepclass.org)
Location: Remote / Flexible
Compensation: $22 – $38 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Role Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor
About DeepClass
At DeepClass, we don't believe history should be locked in the past. We are an innovative educational technology platform that uses advanced AI to bring historical figures back to life. From Frederick Douglass discussing freedom and shipbuilding to Jane Austen exploring romance and womanhood, we provide teachers and students with the tools to have real-time, immersive dialogues with the figures who shaped our world. Our mission is to transform K-12 classrooms into interactive environments where innovation meets the humanities.
The Role
We are seeking passionate, high-energy Education Evangelists to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our cutting-edge AI technology and the school districts that need it. You won't just be "selling" a product; you will be advocating for a new way of teaching that engages students’ imaginations and supports educators in meeting curriculum standards.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned educator who speaks the language of both the classroom and the district office. You understand the challenges teachers face and the technical requirements necessary to implement new tools at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- District Outreach: Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 school districts, specifically focusing on Social Studies departments, Humanities leads, and Curriculum Directors.
- CIO Engagement: Interface with District CIO (Chief Information Officer) offices to discuss data privacy, technical integration, and the "why" behind DeepClass’s architecture.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct virtual and (occasionally) in-person demonstrations of the DeepClass platform for teachers, principals, and school boards.
- Feedback Loop: Act as a liaison between the classroom and our development team, providing insights on how our AI historical figures and lesson plans can better serve K-12 outcomes.
- Community Building: Represent DeepClass at educational conferences, webinars, and regional workshops.
Qualifications
- Deep K-12 Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the K-12 sector. Strong preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in High School (9-12) education.
- District Literacy: A clear understanding of how school districts operate. You should be familiar with the procurement process, curriculum adoption cycles, and the specific concerns of the CIO’s office (security, student data privacy, and EdTech infrastructure).
- Tech Savvy: You don't need to be a coder, but you must be comfortable discussing AI, LLMs, and digital integration in a way that is accessible to non-technical educators.
- Communication: Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills. You should be able to make the case for Jane Austen or Theodore Roosevelt as a classroom companion with infectious enthusiasm.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, or a related field (Master’s degree or Administrative Certification preferred).
Why Join Us?
- Impact: Be at the forefront of the AI revolution in education, helping students connect with history in a way that was never before possible.
- Flexibility: This is a part-time, remote position designed to fit alongside other professional commitments.
- Competitive Pay: $22 – $38/hr depending on experience and network reach.
